Monmouth Park Racetrack at 175 Oceanport Avenue is a major Oceanport landmark and a regional destination for thoroughbred racing. In addition to live racing and the Haskell, the current visitor program includes festivals, family activities, dining, bars and special events.

Fort Monmouth closed as an Army installation in 2011, and its Oceanport acreage is now part of a large redevelopment district. Current Oceanport activity includes RiverWalk Center, fitness and wellness businesses, housing communities, offices and waterfront uses. Netflix Studios Fort Monmouth is under construction across a site in both Oceanport and Eatontown, so NJTGO does not treat the full studio campus as exclusively Oceanport.
RiverWalk CenterRetail, food, wellness and business space is active around Oceanport Avenue and Sanger Avenue, with additional hospitality and waterfront development planned.

Getting Around

By RailNJ Transit’s Monmouth Park station provides seasonal/event service associated with the racetrack; regular nearby Coast Line service is also available in Long Branch and Little Silver.
By WaterLocal marinas and waterways make boating part of Oceanport transportation and recreation, but private docks and marina access have their own rules.
Shore AccessOceanport is not an oceanfront beach borough. Monmouth Beach and Long Branch provide nearby Atlantic Ocean access with their own seasonal beach regulations.
