Location: Guttenberg occupies a narrow band of Hudson County between West New York and North Bergen. Bergenline Avenue runs through the western side, Boulevard East follows the top of the Palisades, and River Road serves the waterfront below.

Anna L. Klein School301 69th Street · 201-861-3100 · Guttenberg operates a one-school district serving preschool through grade 8 under one roof, with approximately 1,000 students.
School HistoryGuttenberg's first public school dates to 1871. The school was renamed for longtime principal Anna L. Klein in 1952 and has been expanded repeatedly.
Current High SchoolGuttenberg high-school students currently attend the North Bergen school system under a sending/receiving arrangement.
Future Arrangement Under StudyThe district is formally evaluating future high-school options and received a $78,000 State School Regionalization Efficiency Program grant in July 2026 for a feasibility study.
